My Bad

In a prologue to his live performance of Open Your Eyes, Keith Green once said "this generation of Christians is responsible for this generation of souls."
I would add that we are responsible for the next generation, too. Not just our future kids, but all kids we eventually meet. Any contact impacts everyone in some way or another, but most influentially on those our own age & younger. So, if we see problems in the next 20-30 years, we'll know exactly who to blame. That's just what I've been thinking about lately.

  1. Hello my friend Mennogirl,

Again it gives me hope to hear someone of your young age taking your faith and your responsibility to the next generation seriously. I agree that we followers of Christ are here to plant seeds and water seeds of faith in others and then to trust God for the growth of future believers and followers. Do you think followers of Christ have shown apathy to their responsibility?

Also, where did you get this love for Keith Green? I enjoy his songs so much. Have you ever heard his song "Create in Me"? How about "Grace By Which I Stand"? These are two of his best songs. I'm sure if Keith Green were alive today, he would be touched to see his music reaching a new generations. Keith Green did his work as a believer. And it sounds like you are doing your work, too!!

    God Bless!

  3. Priscilla:
In response to your first question, I would say that (me included) Christians today tend to be selfish in their love for Christ. They want what He can do for them, not vice versa. Secondly, my love for Keith Green comes from my mom. She was about my age at the time of his death, and so for as long as I can remember, his music has played in our home. I have heard those 2 songs & I love both of them. I also like "I Want To Be More Like Jesus." Truthfully, I like all his music. :-)
